Recommendations for this July in case you do not run off on holidays inmediately after the course is finished.
INDOCHINA
If Pan Asian cuisine is your cup of tea, head to carrer Aribau with Madrazo and you'll find the Indochina restaurant. They have three menus (vietnamese, cambodian and thai) and they are all yammy. You may spot some of the teachers from Operación Triunfo. They are regular costumers. Do not go if you don't like hot and spicy food.
ENVALIRA
A must if you are rambling through Gràcia is Envalira restaurant, also called antigua casa Gerardo. A Galician restaurant that has been run by the same family for ages. It used to feed the actors from the old Teatre Lliure which was nearby. Some of the actors still go there, although el Lliure has moved to Montjuic. Excellent paellas. Try also calamarçets a la planxa. You never get the same thing when you make them at home. Do not expect a fancy restaurant. It's simple, noisy, and cramped. That does not stop people from going there.
INOPIA
Feel just like nibbling? . Ferran Adrià's brother will take care of that.Very close to Mercat de Sant Antoni you will find the Inòpia restaurant. It's more a vermut place. It's informal, decontracté, a place very busy with tourists and locals alike. Warn you, it's not cheap ! I can't really give exact directions. It's somewhere around carrer Tamarit with Rocafort. Business hours are restricted to weekends.
Here's my choice. Any suggestions or comments will be greatly welcomed.
